Haven’t been on here in a minute, ya’ll. But I had to write this today. So I already told you that some Hollywood producers are ready to pitch the book to the tv networks as a tv series. Problem is, that can’t happen until everybody’s lawyers can get all the documents straight. It’s called an Option Agreement. Basically, that gives the producers the legal right to pitch the book as a tv show. I never knew that all of this legal stuff had to take place before you can get a tv show made! MAN! And I thought recording contracts were complex! Holla back at me and give me your casting ideas for who you think should play me in the tv show. What about Moms? Mixmaster Magic? Precious? Mr. Lord? Get at ME!

Okay, I know I have some comments on here that I have to respond to – and I will. I’m just crazy right now producing tracks for me and Bang Up Black and some other artists who I can’t name because contracts are still pending. But here’s what I want to ask you. Do you think I should tell Precious how I feel about her?? The reason I’m asking your opinion is because one of my boys said I’m living in a fantasy world calling a girl my wife who’s not even feeling me. What do you think?

Check this out. I was talking to Precious last night and she told me that she doesn’t date. Of course I asked her why not. She said that “people date to get their rocks off and my rocks are only for my husband.” So I asked her, “How will you know you want to marry someone if you never date them?” She comes back with a word I heard once in a old movie my moms was watching – courtship.

To Precious, courtship happens when two people get to know each other to see if they’re “compatible” for marriage (sounds like dating to me). But then she says that courtship can only happen when people are old enough, and have the desire to take on the responsibility of marriage. According to her, people our age don’t date to see if they want to marry a person, they date to have someone to hook up with on the regular. Then I said, “Exactly! That’s the whole point!” (more…)

I’m in love with a virgin who’s not having it (pun intended).

Even though I’m not married, if I swing with another girl I’d be cheating on my wife.

My third reason I got from my class at St. Urse. Three different times in the Song of Solomon the lyrics say “Do not awaken love before it’s time” (Song of Solomon 2:7, 3:5 & 8:4). At first I didn’t know what that meant. But as I thought about it and related it to my life I started to understand what it means. (more…)
